Appliance does not work

The appliance is not functioning. Ensure there is power at the socket and start the appliance according to the instructions.

Fridge door left open

The fridge door has been opened recently or left open for more than one minute. Close the fridge door and allow the temperature to return to a safe level. The temperature guide should then appear black.

Traces of water in the fridge

Water is accumulating at the bottom of the fridge compartment. Check that the defrosting water discharge hole is not obstructed.

Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning. Always refer to your local ZANUSSI Service Centre and insist on genuine spare parts.

Electrical Installation

Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.

Temperature Regulation

The Cool Check temperature guide in the fridge is designed to show whether the appliance is operating at safe temperatures. It may show 'TOO WARM' if the fridge is switched off or if the doors have been left open.

Maintenance

Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.

Regular Cleaning

Ensure the appliance is cleaned properly. Use warm soapy water for the outer cabinet and avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, or highly perfumed cleaning products inside, as they can damage the surface and leave a strong smell. Clean the drain hole of the water trough regularly to ensure defrost water flows freely.

Ventilation

Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance to prevent excessive electricity consumption and avoid heat exposure. The back of the appliance should be close to a wall but leave the required distance for ventilation as stated in the installation instructions.

Door Sealing

Check that the door is closed properly to maintain efficiency and prevent food spoilage. Avoid overfilling to ensure air circulation.

Dust Accumulation

Dust the condenser and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner once or twice a year to maintain performance and efficiency.

Defrosting

For complete defrosting, turn the thermostat dial to the 'OFF' position or disconnect the appliance from the mains. Remove any food, wrap it in newspaper, and store it in a cool place. Use the ice scraper provided to remove frost when it reaches a thickness of 4mm.
